Modern Warfare 2 “Soap” Statue
Kotobukiya, a famous Japanese sculpting company w/ 60+ years of experience have created a statue of ‘Soap’. If you are reading this you probably already know who Soap is and if not then you’re living under a rock.
It’s up for pre-order on Amazon.com for 79.99. The statue is a foot tall (12″ in case you don’t know)
Features:
—1/6-scale, 12″ (30 cm) tall if standing upright
—Depicts Modern Warfare veteran Cpt. “Soap” MacTavish of Task Force 141, equipped with custom snow camouflage and weaponry as seen in “Cliffhanger” mission from Modern Warfare 2
—3 sets of interchangeable weapons and arms, including: Dual ice-climbing pickaxes (pictured) Dual .45 caliber pistols M14 Enhanced Battle Rifle (affixes to Soap’s back when not in use)
—Environmental ice base stores alternate weapons when not in use
This is another drop of water into the big hype machine. Is InfinityWard going too far with all these extras? No doubt that Modern Warfare 1.0 was an excellent game. But the short single player (6 hours max) and lack of maps for the multiplayer left players with a bitter taste in their mouths. Hardened editions, Night Vision goggles and now statues? For 79.99 it better come with a HDMI hookup.
